This session, was a full day workshop sponsored by the Board of Registration in Medicine, Quality and Patient Safety Division; the Massachusetts Society for Healthcare Risk Management; the Massachusetts Hospital Association; and the Massachusetts Medical Society. 

The workshop was presented by Patrice Spath, BA, RHIT, of Brown-Spath & Associates, a consulting firm offering high quality resources on quality and performance improvement to healthcare leaders. Workshop also included timely updates from:

Tracy Gay, Quality & Patient Safety Director, Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine, on the Board's mortality program review process, and;
Pat Noga, PhD, RN, MBA, NEA-BC, Senior Director, Clinical Affairs, Massachusetts Hospital Association, on MHA's mortality improvement initiative.
