PatientCareLink provides data about the quality and safety of hospital care. Hospitals use the data to improve care and to demonstrate to their communities that they stand accountable for their performance. Hospitals welcome transparency about their performance when measures are grounded in good science and account fairly for differences in the needs of their patients. Data reporting for our hospitals are grouped into peer groups to compare unit types in similar type hospitals. For example, unit types in acute care hospitals are compared with unit types in other similar acute care hospitals. This is also consistent for inpatient rehabilitation hospitals and long term acute care hospitals.
